The story of Badr and Shams is from a series of stories for children: for the age group from 6 to 9 years. It is an educational and cultural story that aims to teach the child the meaning of feminine and masculine, and urges him to learn through a nice verbal match between two brothers, a boy and a girl, Badr and Shams. Badr brags about being a boy, and Shams responds to him with an argument and proves to him that there is no difference between a boy and a girl, except in what they do and provide of good or benefit, and that the distinction between a male and a female is only through good deeds.
