A history of Perak was previously published in Volume XII Part 1 of the Journal of the Malayan Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society June 1934 and three articles by We Maxwell previously published in Volumes 2,9 & 12 of the Journal of the Straits Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society in 1878, 1882 and 1883.
